In March 2005, after nearly two years planning and saving, we set off on an 18 month trip around the world. Our route and schedule changed drastically both during our pre-trip planning and during our trip itself: we went from wanting to visit 22 countries in a mere 3 months, to only visiting 12 countries in 18 months. Life on the road, it seems, has a way of changing everything.
Our route took us from the colonial cities and lush jungles of South America through the cobblestone streets and iconic cities of Europe on to the rural villages and vibrant landscapes of Southeast Asia. Along the way we took over 30,000 photos, filled three notebooks to the brim with daily musings, wrote over 100 stories for this website, and created enough memories to fill a lifetime.
The stories we recorded on the road as well as the ones we've written since returning home are found in the book above. We add to it regularly and fill it with tales of adventure and impressions of faraway lands.
So if you like, sit back, turn the page, and let your imagination take a journey.

Your website has just confirmed that I need to plot and save for that next big trip.
Awww awesome! We're always hoping to inspire fellow travelers, so this is wonderful to hear.
Happy travels!
