 Blurry Cows and Palm Tree...

We had a wonderfully relaxing day yesterday, spending most of it reading outside on the balcony that comes with our room. From my chair, I watched the ocean and the town of La Paloma slowly moving all around me. This beautiful, little coastal town has certainly stolen our hearts. And although we have plans to leave here Wednesday morning, I think we’ll visit here often in our dreams.

There are many things about La Paloma that make it so idyllic, so peaceful…so like what a home should be. And I´m afraid a detailed post or photos will never capture everything. And so while I was sitting outside yesterday, enjoying the slight burn the sun was giving my shoulders, I made a few notes to remind me in the coming months what I saw and what I felt while we were here.

Now, mind you, I had no intentions of posting these things to the website. But Tim read these notes and asked that I share them. So just bear in mind these are not written out properly, they’re just the bits of detail that danced in front of my eyes yesterday afternoon.

Sun on rooftops, red rounded rooftops, old cars that look new with the light from the sun and the wind from the ocean, a breeze that brings life, a quiet life, the ocean changing from blue to green and back to blue at the edge of the world in mere hours, gorgeous white caps that hold the light until they fall under the cover of the waves behind them, colorful sand still on my feet, sleepy coastal town, comfy, safe, and warm, the sound of the motorbikes sound peaceful here, people walking with their groceries and fresh fruit, quiet and peaceful, sandals on everyone, smiles everywhere, pups that pop out of jeeps to sniff and wait for their owners, and a breeze that moves my hair and lets me breathe again. This is La Paloma. This is bueno.

Exquisite. You guys should write a book when you’re done. Enscribe every thought, sight, smell and don’t forget the tactile stuff! Put in some emotional dialogue and you’d wow our socks off. Don’t forget the sex! Oops, sorry parents;) No, nevermind don’t put in the steamy stuff. Catch up with me and I’ll write your book. I’ve got some old sex stuff in another life I could thow in for you. Oops, this IS public isn’t it? Well there you go. You’re having the time of your life and i’m embarassed(yeah right). LOVE you Jess. Will LOVE you when I meet you Tim.Bye.
