An Unabashed Fan of India
During our round-the-world trip, it took me five visits over six months before I enjoyed Bangkok. I fully expected India to be a similar challenge for me. But not once did I hate it. Not once did I want to leave. Not once would I have changed a thing.

To the Taj Mahal or Bust?
Described by Rudyard Kipling as "the embodiment of all things pure," the Taj Mahal is located only a few hours by train from Delhi. But with limited travel time is visiting the Taj Mahal a "must see" for a first trip to India?

Planting the Seeds for Travel
India was never on our "must see" travel list. Speaking to other backpackers confirmed our instincts: for every backpacker who said they loved India, we'd meet three who couldn't stand it. Travelers always seem divided between loving and hating the country, and sometimes both at the same time.
