India is a photographer's dream. The golden tones of the desert, the intricately detailed temples, the blindingly bright saris, the magnificence of forgotten forts, the flowing chaos of cities, and the constant movement of one billion people all compete for your attention and beg to be remembered.
Although we were only in India for two weeks, we took nearly 2,700 photos during our time there. (Even for us, that's quite a lot!) But even on the days we didn't touch our camera, I know my mind's eye was constantly snapping photos. There is hardly a moment we were in India that isn't a heady mixture of colors and sounds and movement in my memory.
We've only seen the smallest fraction of India, but what we've seen so far took our breath away. The photos that follow are some of our favorites during our time there. Take a peek to see why we'll definitely be returning again.
