Note: We've just returned home from our long weekend in Bogota, Colombia! We had a truly fabulous time and quickly discovered that Bogota is a city filled with beautiful architecture, friendly people, and fantastic food. We can't wait to share our stories and photos from Bogota, but in the meantime we wanted to share some images of the beauty that surrounds us here at home too. Enjoy!
I've said it before, but it bears repeating: I love where we live. And like the millions of folks who visit Cape Cod each year, we'd visit on holiday even if we didn't live here. So we feel incredibly lucky to live here year-round!
I'll admit that sometimes I think it's all too good to be true. Like I'll wake up one morning and find myself in South Dakota instead of steps away from the ocean. (Not that there's anything wrong with South Dakota, I'm sure. It's just not our cup of tea.) I love being able to walk 500 feet to our beach or hopping into the car for a bit of a toodle along the Cape. I adore being surrounded by so much natural beauty.
Speaking of which, we spent another weekend exploring the Cape a few weeks ago, just seeing where the road would take us and happening across new beaches. Our travels took us along Old Kings Highway, but this time instead of focusing on one place, we traveled from Sandwich to Wellfleet.
We shot a few pictures along the way, though I fear none of them will do justice to the beauty of the Cape. There's something about having your toes buried in sand and seagulls flying overhead that makes each place perfect. Perhaps some day you'll visit and bury your toes too. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy a bit of the place we call home.
