So, as many of you are aware, it's been a little while since last we posted. (In fact, it's been more than five weeks!)
As we hinted at before, in the first comment made to our last post, there is a very good reason for this lapse in communication. We'll get to all that shortly, after a brief note about the art of the "fast-forward."
When we last left you, we had just entered Cambodia for our second time. We spent another two amazing weeks there (for a total of six weeks in Cambodia), and had all sorts of adventures. We reunited with our good friends Sam and the monk, and had a hair-raising experience in the rarely-visited northeastern portion of the country. And we couldn't wait to write all about it.
But the thing is, having just had this other experience – the one that's kept us away from civilzation off and on for the past seven weeks – we're now just bursting to write about those experiences. And so we think we're going to once again do a little bit of a fast-forward, and come back to Cambodia when we have the chance. The fact is that Sam and the monk are far too special to us to breeze through when we're thinking about other things. The time we spent with them was special, and we want to do it justice. So you all will just have to wait a little bit for that one.
For the next several posts or so, we'll be telling you about the most special and amazing experience we've had on our entire trip. We're talking about something downright life-changing here. We'll tell you about all the friends we made out in the jungle. We'll tell you about the special package Tim had to prepare for a Thai princess. We'll tell you about the most touching friendship we've ever witnessed. We'll tell you about a young lady named Tong Jan, the luckiest of her kind in the world by far. And we'll tell you about the friend who will one day soon be coming to the states to live with us.
Stay tuned.

After all the hell you've expericed in the early years of your lives you two deserve to have some real happiness. I cannot wait for the teasers to end and the actual stories to begin! In the meantime take care of yourselves and know that I love/miss you two oh so very much…

AND SO GLAD TO BE NUMBER ONE!
BUT GREAT TO SEE YOU'RE IN TOUCH!
In the meantime, I just wanted to drop a quick comment to say Happy Birthday to my Timothy!
I love you very, very much.
The ongoing battle with spam continues. We're getting about 200 spam comments a day now, ugh. We've temporarily enabled "comment screening", meaning that we have to approve any comment before it appears. This at least keeps the spam from bothering anyone but us.
On the advice of a friend (thanks, Derick!), we're using graphic text verification from this point on. When you write a comment, make sure you also enter that little code in the box below. Assuming this solves our problems (and it should), we'll turn the comment screening off again and everything will be back to normal.
Thanks!
Jess
